Methodology

DRAFT — pending William's reviewThis page contains placeholder text and is not final New Street policy.

New Street is a research-driven news platform covering business, markets, macroeconomics, and technology. We value accuracy over speed: we would rather publish a story later than publish it wrong.

Multi-source validation

Material claims in a New Street article should be supported by more than one independent source. Where possible we rely on primary material — official filings, statistical releases, central bank and government publications, and company disclosures — and we corroborate secondary reporting before relying on it.

Transparent sourcing

Every article ends with a list of the sources it relies on, including the publisher and the date we accessed each one, so readers can check our work for themselves.

Evidence over opinion

We aim to report what the evidence shows, to distinguish clearly between established facts, estimates, and forecasts, and to say so when the evidence is incomplete or contested.

Human editorial review

Articles may be drafted with AI assistance, but nothing is published without review and approval by a human editor. William, New Street’s founder and editor-in-chief, reviews each article before it is published. See our AI disclosure for details.

Corrections

When we get something wrong we correct it openly. Corrections are logged on the affected article and collected on our corrections page.

Free and open

New Street is free to read. This website is the canonical archive of everything we publish; we also share our work on X at @NewStreetXYZ.
